A classic takchita consists of two separate garments: the tahtiya underneath and the open fouqia worn over it. The two-piece effect takchita recreates exactly this silhouette, but as a single dress: the underdress and the over-dress are joined and sewn together at the waist or shoulders, while the belt defines the outfit just as it does on a true takchita.
