Kaftan or takchita for a bride?

With its two layered pieces and jeweled belt, the takchita is the most formal bridal outfit. The one-piece kaftan is perfectly suited to a nikkah, hlel, or a more intimate reception. Many brides plan to wear both for different moments of the wedding.

What color should a bridal kaftan be?

How far in advance should you order before the wedding?

For an in-stock style, a few weeks are sufficient, including alterations. For a made-to-measure garment or a heavily beaded piece, allow several additional weeks. The earlier, the better.
