When ceremonies move into winter, velvet takes over. This collection brings together our embroidered velvet kaftans, designed for those looking for an elegant and warm velvet kaftan: the plum Monarque with four-thread gold embroidery, the mustard Mogador embroidered all the way across the back, the burgundy Oraphyne with floral moiré, and the midnight-blue Marilysse with tonal scrollwork. Deep, warm, and noble, the velvet kaftan catches the light in reception halls like no other fabric - ideal for a winter wedding, Eid, or a grand evening.

FAQ

When should you wear a velvet kaftan?

From October to March, it is the fabric of choice: winter weddings, Eid, New Year's Eve celebrations, and grand evenings. Velvet keeps you warm, drapes beautifully, and captures the artificial light of reception halls magnificently.

Is a velvet kaftan too warm for a party venue?

Our designs are lined but remain comfortable to wear throughout an evening indoors. For a very well-heated venue or an in-between season, choose crepe or satin from our main collection.

Which velvet colors should you choose?

Deep shades bring out the fabric's beauty best: plum, burgundy, midnight blue, and emerald. Paired with gold embroidery, they create the most spectacular look both in photos and in person.

How should you care for an embroidered velvet kaftan?

Dry-clean only. Store it on a wide hanger, never folded - velvet creases - and away from light to preserve the gold-thread embroidery.

Which jewelry goes with gold-embroidered velvet?

Stick with gold to echo the embroidery: statement earrings and a delicate bracelet are enough, as velvet is already a very prominent fabric.
