The lace is embroidered and then beaded by hand, giving it texture and a restrained shimmer, far from the effect of rhinestones. The long sleeves are sheer: the lace is left unlined, allowing the arm to show through. This detail lightens the silhouette and avoids the bulky effect of a lamé kaftan. At the front, sfifa runs the full length in gold and mauve, fastened with matching aqaads. The belt is coordinated and features a hand-crafted ornament. It sits at the natural waist and cinches the silhouette: the kaftan falls straight, while the belt creates shape. No. The sleeves are made of lace only and are intentionally sheer to lighten the silhouette.
What is the difference between Deyna and Cornflower?
They belong to the same beaded-lace family but have two different styles: Cornflower combines gray and silver, while Deyna features mauve and gold. Deyna also has handmade sfifa and aqaads.
Can Deyna be worn without the belt?
Yes, for a straighter, more relaxed look. However, the embellished belt is one of the piece’s highlights and is worth showing off.
